Royal Trinity Hospice
As regular listeners know, Lovejoy Actually’s chosen charity is Royal Trinity Hospice, who looked after Dudley Sutton (Tinker) before he passed away in 2018. Dudley was a massive supporter of the NHS, and before his passing he championed the work that the NHS do when he released a video from his bed asking us all to continue supporting this vital resource. The hospice that took such good care of him during his final days is still facing serious financial difficulties caused by the Covid pandemic, as one of their mains sources of incomes - their charity shops - closed during the UK lockdown (some forever.)
Although the podcast has now finished, we are all still supporters of Royal Trinity (which is local to a couple of us!) and we hope you will be too. During our reign we pledged 10% of all our Patreon donations to the charity, as well as hosting on online quiz (which you can watch here) auctioning some very special Lovejoy memorabilia on eBay and completing the Royal Parks Half Marathon in 2021 - raising in excess of £2,000!
